Yoga & Art for Youth Girls begins Tuesday October 2nd to November 6th- 4:30-6:00pm 2018
This course promotes health and wellbeing through yoga stretches and breath work to help bring balance and harmony within the body, mind, heart and soul.
Class begins with some mindfulness techniques and meditation which helps ground and center ourselves. Students then slowly begin to build heat in the body with gentle movements of the spine. New yoga poses and the benefits of each posture are learned and practiced weekly so that students can continue what they've learned each week. Yoga practice ends with a relaxation pose and a guided meditation creating stillness and peace in body, mind and soul. Students learn techniques and tools to calm the mind, listen to the body, build strength and flexibility and honour and respect ourselves, each other and our world by practicing non-judgemental, compassionate self awareness.
